If you really want change, you should vote for Remi Sonaiya as President on the 14th of February.

According to Remin Sonaiya:

I’ve come to be convinced about one thing – that a substantial portion of our problems would be solved if people simply did their jobs properly.

The reason we are not global leaders in producing coffee, cocoa and palm kernel is not that we don’t know how to farm, or that we don’t have the land – we only cultivate less than 70% of our arable land – the reason is that people in charge started looking the other way and stopped doing their jobs properly.

The people who should enforce the law and make sure that there are consequences for inefficiency and theft, also stopped doing their jobs properly.

So we struggle, we are forced to patronise touts, we are made to feel grateful for merely receiving the service we have paid for.

Do you know why successive governments have failed to change this? It is because those in office, even when they have good intentions, are surrounded by people with questionable character.

The candidate being sold as a change today is not only a member of the country’s council of state, he is surrounded by various people who have had questions to answer about their management of the public purse. How is this change?

Let us wake up, my dear people. The change we need can only come if we choose for office someone not shackled to their patronage; someone who does not have these people as benefactors.
