After more than 25 years as the Nigerian music industry’s most popular husband and wife act, Tunde and Wunmi Obe aka T.W.O. are out to prove that they still have that ‘it’ factor. The release of their new album T.W.O Plus, is a statement to their fans and to the industry that they have evolved and adapted like they have done over almost three decades.
Featuring a mix of legendary old-timers like Segun Obe, contemporary artistes like 2Face and Dammy Krane, and talented newcomers Floss and Brace, complemented by production from notable names like DelB, Samklef, Papi J and B. Jay Productions, T.W.O. intend to show the world that their delightfully evergreen music can not only stand the test of time, but also incorporate a range of different sounds from different genres and eras of music. In addition, it has been revealed that a certain Clarence Peters will direct the videos for the tracks on the album.
Speaking at a private listening party, Wunmi Obe recently remarked that in her opinion this album is the best body of work T.W.O. have ever come out with. In her words, “The mark of good music is that you can listen to it years later and still like it. The mark of great music is that you can listen to it decades later and it still sounds fresh. This album is filled with great music. It showcases T.W.O. and the featured artists in a way that nobody has heard before. We are really excited to present T.W.O Plus to our fans and I truly hope they love it!”
T.W.O. Plus is marketed by Ugo Best Global Ent., and it will be available on all major online music retail platforms, selected stores and on the streets from May 5th 2015.
